'Journalist' gunned down in Sindh
Ghulam Murtaza Shar, a journalist in Sanghar, was shot dead by assailants, allegedly due to a personal quarrel. The suspect has been arrested.

KARACHI—Unknown assailants have killed Ghulam Murtaza Shar, a local journalist in Sanghar. However, according to the police, he was killed over a personal quarrel.

The suspect Ali Murad was taken into custody along with the weapon he used to kill Shar.

Reportedly, the incident took place due to a personal dispute between the suspect and Murtaza.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, in a tweet, said that the security of journalists in interior Sindh had become a challenge, terming the attack 'Shocking'.

However, SHO Sanghar Jhol Police Station claimed that the police had contacted Sanghar Press Club President Anjum Aftab, who told him that the deceased did not belong to the journalist community.
