Veteran journalist Abdul Quddoos dies
Abdul Quddoos, a prominent journalist and active member of the Karachi Press Club, has died after battling cancer. His contributions spanned several decades, impacting the media landscape in Pakistan.
KARACHI: Veteran journalist Sheikh Abdul Quddoos, an active member of the Karachi Press Club and Karachi Union of Journalist, passed away Thursday after a brief illness. He had cancer.
Quddoos was a dedicated journalist whose career spanned over several decades. He worked in many media houses, including Daily Amn and Daily Jehan-i-Pakistan for many years. He held the distinction of being the founder-chairman of the Green Panel.
For some time he joined politics and also became Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from Orangi Town.
President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists has offered condolences over his death and termed it an irreparable loss to journalist fraternity.
