PFUJ to host international media conference in Karachi
The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists is organizing a three-day conference in Karachi aimed at discussing the media's impact on democracy and conflicts. Delegates from over 15 countries will participate in the event.
KARACHI: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists is to host a three-day international media conference, One World One Media, in Karachi in collaboration with International Federation of Journalists from May 1 to 3.
Dawn reported Monday that delegates from more than 15 countries including United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Afghanistan, Iran, India and Belgium will attend the conference.
The delegates will discuss media’s role in democracy and in ending conflicts; role of civil society, its uses and abuses in media; embedded journalism; concentration of media ownership; and global terrorism and role of media.
