Daily Express cuts jobs in Peshawar
The Express Media Group is continuing to reduce its workforce, with the latest layoffs occurring at Daily Express in Peshawar. This follows a trend of job losses across various outlets of the group.

PESHAWAR – The Express Media Group continues to lay off staff, the latest terminations happening at Daily Express in Peshawar.

An insider tells JournalismPakistan.com that the Urdu language newspaper has fired its news editor and four sub-editors.

Earlier in November, the management had asked two reporters to leave with now only three left.

The Express Group last week shut down its English language television channel Tribune 24-7 rendering over a 100 employees jobless.

The group also has continually laid off staff at The Express Tribune at its different centers. In November, the English-language daily sacked the last remaining members of its reporting team in Peshawar.
