Sara-i-Alamgir attack: Mirza Waseem Baig of 92 News killed by assailants
Mirza Waseem Baig, a journalist with 92 News, was ambushed and killed at his home in Sara-i-Alamgir. Journalist unions are demanding action against the assailants.

ISLAMABAD—Armed men shot dead a journalist with 92 News Television at the entrance to his home in Sara-i-Alamgir (Punjab) on Friday.

Reports said that Mirza Waseem Baig was gunned down as he disembarked from a car. Shooters ambushed him on two motorcycles. He died later in hospital.

Journalist unions have condemned the murder and called for the immediate arrest of the culprits.

It was unclear if Baig’s murder was related to his work.
