Controversial Dr. Aamir targets Mubashir Zaidi on Twitter

ISLAMABAD - Mubashir Zaidi (pictured), one of three hosts of program Zara Hut Kay on DawnNews, is the latest in the series of journalists to be called “liar” by Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain.

Dr. Aamir, the controversial host of Aisay Nahi Chaley Ga on BOL News called Zaidi “a big liar of this era” in a tweet, besides poinrting out he writes for a “Hindu paper”.

Zaidi hit back, saying he is an “international standing journalist” and not “fake current affairs person like you.”

There was a lot of support for Zaidi on Twitter as he was advised not to get entangled with Dr. Aamir.  One of the tweets asked Zaidi “so U r the new target these days??? do u hv a certificate of patriotism?”

Journalist Azaz Syed of Geo thought Dr. Aamir was using unfair means to promote his program. “It is clear that @Xadeejournalist is an acknowledged international journalist and @AamirLiaquat is using unfair means to promote his prog.”

On January 26, electronic media regulator PEMRA slapped a ban on Dr. Aamir and his program for preaching hate. However, the following day, the ban was overturned by  Sindh High Court.
