Arshad Khan appointed managing director of PTV
Arshad Khan has been appointed as the managing director of Pakistan Television. This is his third term in this role, demonstrating his extensive experience.

ISLAMABAD –Arshad Khan was on Tuesday appointed the managing director of Pakistan Television (PTV) after the board of directors granted approval.

Earlier in the day, acting charge of Managing Director Col. (Retd) Hassan Immad Mohammadi was withdrawn.

Khan, a telecom and management expert, comes in for his third stint at PTV after his first appointment in 2004 by Gen Pervez Musharraf, and again in 2009 during the PPP government.

On Tuesday Khan resigned as the chairman of PTV before being formally appointed as the first full-time managing director since Muhammad Malick’s tenure ended in February 2016.

Khan launched Ufone as its first CEO and has also headed Pakistan Post.
