ISLAMABAD: All parliamentary reporters staged a token walkout Friday from National Assembly’s press gallery to express solidarity with journalists attached with BOL News Television.
The journalist urged the government to ensure job protection of employees associated with private television channels. They said the government has caused uncertainty among journalists of BOL News by blocking the channel's transmission and freezing their bank accounts.
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, however, assured the journalists that their problems would be addressed on priority basis. He said that economic matters of BOL News staff will be addressed in the next few days.
