Fresh bid to unite rival PFUJ factions

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Reunification Committee has started fresh efforts to unite rival factions.

The committee has requested PFUJ factions to submit their proposals for reunification as soon as possible, and to postpone the Unions of Journalists (UJs) elections for the greater cause of unity.

After receiving their proposals, the committee will convene a meeting, and will evolve a formula of unification

with the consent of PFUJ factions.

The committee comprises senior journalists I.A. Rehman, Hussain Naqi, M. Ziauddin, Nasir Zaidi, and

Khawar Naeem Hashmi.
