BADIN - A senior journalist in Badin was attacked by two alleged drug peddlers for reporting about their illegal activities.
Pakistan Today reported Thursday the incident occurred on the second day of Eid.
Notorious drugs peddler, Achar Mallah along with his acquaintance attacked journalist Raja Shakeel Ahmed Ghanchi at his home.
The paper said the accused reportedly knocked the door and when the journalist came out, they beat him up. He was warned of dire consequences if he published news against their activities again.
Police lodged an FIR against the assailants.
Meanwhile, the local journalists condemned the attacked and appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, and the Inspector General of Police, Sindh to take notice of the incident.
