ISLAMABAD: The state-run Pakistan Television has started live broadcast of the “Question Hour” proceedings in both houses of the parliament - National Assembly and Senate.
The management of the channel is also contemplating starting live coverage of the standing committees as well. “We have a live broadcast of the standing committee on interior this week and may also start live coverage of all the committees soon,” an employee of the channel told JournalismPakistan.com.
Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also recently directed Pakistan Television management to ensure smooth live coverage of the National Assembly’s Question Hour. “People should know about the issues being discussed in the house. The live coverage will also give an opportunity to the honorable members to reach out to their constituents,” he said.
