ISLAMABAD: Malala Yousafzai, the teenage blogger and education rights activist, who was shot by the Taliban in Swat last year, is to return to school.
Britain’s The Sun newspaper reported Tuesday that she was to start lessons at Edgbaston High School for girls in Birmingham.
Malala was transferred to UK for life-saving treatment after a bullet grazed her brain. She was operated upon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and discharged in January.
Militants attempted to kill her when she was on a school bus taking her home.
She used to write blogs for the BBC under a pseudonym detailing life under the Taliban, and her views on girls’ education.
Malala has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and a fund established in her name to support girls’ education.
