Dacoity in Media Town
ISLAMABAD: Three motor-riding dacoits struck at a house of a journalist in D-block of Media Town and took away Rs100,000 in cash.

The dacoits armed with sophisticated weapons entered house of Irfan, a staffer of Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), and ransacked the house after taking his family hostage.

“They beat up Irfan's two children and wife and took only cash from a cupboard,” the victim's neighbor told JournalismPakistan.com. The dacoits wore masks and fled on a motorbike.

He said that robberies have become a routine matter in the town despite patrolling of private guards and police.
