Cracker hurled at Din News Lahore office, three injured

LAHORE: Unknown assailants tossed a cracker at the office of Din News Television in Lahore Tuesday that left three people injured.


Reports said two policemen and a staff member were wounded in the attack which was the fourth on the media in almost 10 days. The attackers left pamphlets at the scene that had threats from Daulat-i-Islamia group.


On November 21, terrorists attacked Dunya News bureau office in Faisalabad hurling a hand grenade which injured three employees. The following day, unidentified gunmen killed journalist Hafeez Ur Rehman of Neo TV in Kohat.


A DawnNews Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van was attacked last Friday in Karachi by gunmen leaving one staffer injured.
