ARY anchor Iqrar ul Hassan injured in attack

LAHORE—ARY News anchor Iqrar ul Hassan was brutally attacked by unidentified assailants in the Defence neighborhood of Karachi on Saturday. The incident occurred in the vicinity of K Block Police Station, where Hassan's vehicle was targeted with gunfire before the attackers physically assaulted him.

According to reports from ARY News, the assailants ambushed Hassan’s vehicle, firing shots at it before confronting him directly. The attack resulted in significant injuries to Hassan's face and body. Following the assault, the perpetrators fled the scene quickly, evading immediate capture.

The police have since launched an investigation into the incident. Initial reports indicate that law enforcement officials have made several arrests in connection with the attack and are actively searching for other individuals involved. The motive behind the attack is still unclear, but the severity of the assault has raised concerns about the safety of journalists.
