Waqt hires Fahad in third big signing
Waqt News TV has secured Fahad Hussain as its latest hire in a series of significant signings. He will start hosting a new program on July 2.

ISLAMABAD: Waqt News TV has made its third big signing in less than a month, now hiring Fahad Hussain from rivals ARY News. Sources at both channels have confirmed that Fahad, the Executive Director Special Projects at ARY has made the move. Although Fahad has tendered his resignation, he was asked to rush to Karachi for a meeting with ARY Chief Executive Officer Salman Iqbal – perhaps an effort to persuade him to stay on. An insider at Waqt News tells JournalismPakistan.com Fahad will be hosting a program from July 2 at 10pm. The format and frequency of his show was not immediately known. Fahad previously worked for Dunya News (2010-11) and Express News between 2006 and 2010. Earlier this month, Waqt News hired Fereeha Idrees who hosted the program News Beat on Samaa and Matiullah Jan from DawnNews.
