ISLAMABAD – After an unsuccessful stint at BOL News, anchor Mubasher Lucman is returning to Channel 24, insiders tell JournalismPakistan.com.
He will be going on air from Monday, most likely with his trademark program Khara Sach that made him famous, earning him a wide following.
Lucman began his career in the electronic media with Business Plus and later moved to Dunya News in 2009 from where he got fired after off-air scenes of his pre-scripted interview with property tycoon Malik Riaz surfaced on YouTube and went viral.
He then joined ARY News where he really made his mark with Khara Sach exposing lies and corruption of politicians and others. His hard-hitting commentary cost ARY and the channel was briefly cut off. He went to court and won the case.
Lucman joined BOL in 2015 but quit after the channel could not go on air and moved to Channel 24. However, as BOL got back to its feet earlier this year, he rejoined them. Things did not work out for him there and he is now back at Channel 24.
If my call is so important to them, why don’t they answer it for 22 minutes?
