Moeed Pirzada quits ARY, rejoins Dunya

ISLAMABAD: Anchorperson and analyst Dr Moeed Pirzada (pictured) has quit ARY News after a row with Mubasher Lucman and joined Dunya TV.

Pirzada was co-hosting a political talk show “Siasat aur Sazish” on ARY. Lucman is vice president ARY and also hosts his own program “Khara Sach.”

A JournalismPakistan.com source says Lucman was pestering Pirzada by dictating content of his program, therefore he decided to quit and rejoin Dunya.

“I was continuously being harassed by one particular gentleman and I assessed that there will be no end to this since it appears to be a psychological problem,” Pirzada wrote on his Facebook page without naming anyone.

He added: “I don't have the time and energy to fight these unnecessary battles and ego issues when I have many options in life and career...there is so much more to do in life than to waste time in ego battles.”

Earlier, Pirzada was associated with Pakistan Television as Director World Affairs, Waqt, Express and Dunya Television channels.
