ISLAMABAD: Just a day after announcing she was quitting Samaa TV because of reported threats from the builder mafia, anchor Jasmeen Manzoor has now changed her mind.
In a tweet she said: “Dear friends I have decided to challenge Mr Amin Lahkani in High Court ! I will be working with Samaa as my channel has supported me!” Her program, said to be on the demolition of a Hindu temple, was not aired by Samaa after reportedly a four-page long stay order from the High Court was delivered to her office saying the show would spread hatred.
Jasmeen received threats from the builder mafia and named one Amin Lakhani in this regard.
“Amin Lahkani sent his men to my office, threatened my staff, put pressure on me but when I refused he threatened the channel,” Jasmeen had said in a tweet Thursday.
“We will fight this mafia in the court now InshAllah,” Jasmeen tweeted. “And the show will be on the Internet soon.”
Jasmeen hosts the talk show ‘Tonight with Jasmeen’.
