ISLAMABAD - Geo News presenter Hamid Mir plans to open a media university in a remote region, probably somewhere in Balochistan.
He revealed his plan in a telphonic interview with The Express Tribune which was published Friday.
The interviewer asked him if he planned to open his own TV channel or newspaper. Mir responded: “I have a plan to open a media university. Rather than electronic, one should form an institution, which should have a newspaper, as well as a TV station such that when students graduate, not only should they know the basics of production and reporting but also be familiar with editorial writing.”
He told the paper: “Media university mera ek khwab hai (establishing a media university is my dream). It will not be in Punjab but in a neglected region, most probably Balochistan.”
