ISLAMABAD: Award-winning senior investigative journalist and anchorperson Asad Kharal has joined Channel 24 as head of investigation cell where he will also host a program.
A source tells JournalismPakistan.com that Kharal would make an exclusive team of investigative reporters at all bureau offices to introduce a new trend of investigative journalism in electronic media. “The investigative reporters will not only work on corruption and mega scandals of the government and bureaucrats but also expose wrongdoings in the field of health, education and crime,” he said.
He said the reporters would also prepare special packages and reports for his program. The source said that Kharal is expected to start his program after Eid.
Previously, he was co-hosting a current affairs program, ‘Andar Ki Baat’ on ARY News. He has worked for The Express Tribune, The News, Daily Times, Geo News and Dunya Television.
