BOL heavyweight hiring continues as Nusrat Javeed joins team
Nusrat Javeed, well-known for his work in journalism, has been appointed as the executive vice president and senior anchorperson at BOL News. He will also write columns for the group's newspapers.
ISLAMABAD: Nusrat Javeed, famous columnist and anchorperson, has joined BOL News as executive vice president and senior anchorperson.
 
Besides hosting a program on BOL News, he would also write articles for newspapers of the group.
 
“Yes I also have joined BOL TV; will also be writing columns for their newspaper,” he tweeted Thursday. Nusrat Javeed and Mushtaq Minhas co-hosted a popular current affairs program “Bolta Pakistan” on Aaj TV and quit the channel in November last year.
 
Javeed has been in journalism since 1975 and has worked for almost all English dailies in Pakistan. He entered the world of broadcast media with his program, Bolta Pakistan, with Aaj TV and quickly rose to prominence in the field.
 
“He was the first Pakistani reporter to cover Indian elections in 1984 and since then, he has covered all elections held in Pakistan as well as India,” bolnetwork.com reported.
 
“Nusrat Javeed’s diverse and illustrious portfolio speaks for itself and marks him as another brilliant addition to BOL’s senior leadership,” Axact and BOL’s Chairman and CEO, Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh said in a statement.
