ISLAMABAD – PEMRA Council of Complaints Sindh and Lahore reserved their recommendations after a hearing into the case of Aamir Liaquat (pictured at the dais) and his program on BOL News.
The Supreme Court had ordered the joint sitting of the Councils while directing that the matter be decided within two weeks on all complaints against the program Aisay Nahi Chalay Ga and its host Aamir Liaquat.
The hearing at the PEMRA Headquarters lasted nine hours.
Among the complainants present at the joint session were Najam Sethi, Talat Hussain, Imtiaz Alam, Imran Aslam, Shahzeb Khanzada, Murtaza Solangi, Shahrukh Hassan, Beena Sarwar (via Skype) and Jibran Nasir.
Respondent Aamir Liaquat was also there along with his chief counsel Raja Rizwan Abbasi and his legal team. Aamir and his lawyers presented their point of view separately to the Councils.
