ISLAMABAD: Yousuf Baig Mirza, Advisor at Capital TV is reported to have quit barely two months after joining the channel.
Differences over payment of staff salaries and some other internal issues prompted him to resign, insiders say. It was not immediately known where he was headed.
Mirza had joined Capital one month after the Islamabad High Court set aside his appointment as the Managing Director of Pakistan Television in April. He was also previously associated with Dunya TV.
Capital TV, headed by Basit Sheikh, was launched on April 10. The channel ran into trouble after a guest on one of their live shows insulted the Army chief and was taken off air two days after its launch.
The channel was however, later allowed to resume programming.
