ISLAMABAD: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has served a legal notice on DawnNews Television for airing what he said was false news of a raid on his house in Karachi by law enforcement agencies.
The notice asks the channel’s management to tender an unconditional apology within 14 days, otherwise a legal suit of Rs2 billion would be filed against them.
The lawyer of the minister in his notice said that his client is a reputed, law abiding and educated citizen and is also an elected member of the provincial assembly.
The notice says the channel telecast a baseless and fabricated story on May 29 and claimed that officials of secret agencies arrested Memon’s private secretary and recorded his statement besides seizing Rs2 billion from his home.

When I get into a queue or lane going fast, the moment I get in, it becomes the slowest and refuses to budge.
