ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has issued a warning to music channel 8XM for screening vulgar songs.
The regulator said one song in particular, aired on February 26 and 5:23am was in violation of Code of Conduct 2015.
PEMRA said it had received several complaints in this regard from viewers expressing anger and demanding action against the channel.
The managers at the channel have been told to exercise great care in future or face action. They have also been asked to let the authority know about their editorial policy and the editorial committee.
