ISLAMABAD -The Governing Body of National Press Club, Islamabad Wednesday constituted a committee to finalize matters relating to health insurance policy of members.
The committee is also mandated to gather updates on newspaper advertisements.
The meeting, chaired by NPC President Shakeel Anjum, also constituted a vigilance committee to monitor disciplinary matters. Imran Yaqoon Dhillon, the club’s general secretary, presented the meeting’s agenda.
It was announced that the disciplinary committee would comprise Ahmad Nawaz, Izhar Khan Niazi, Sheraz Gardezi, Bashir Chaudhry, Amir Butt, Tariq Ali Virk and Mudassar Chaudhry.
The Governing Body approved issuing stickers for vehicles of members using the NPC parking lot.
The committee constituted to work on health insurance comprises Shakeela Jalil, Nokhaiz Sahi, Fauzia Rana and Memona Arif.
The house also formed another committee to deal with harassment cases faced by women journalists. It is headed by Senior Vice President Asif Bhatti with Vice President Myra Azam its member.
