Nadeem Malik set for DawnNews

ISLAMABAD: There seems no end to job hopping by television anchors with news now in that Nadeem Malik of Aaj News is set to replace Syed Talat Hussain at DawnNews.

Nadeem, who hosts the current affairs program Islamabad Tonight, could start his new job soon, JournalismPakistan.com has been told by sources at both channels.

Insiders say that Nadeem who has been offered an 8pm slot on DawnNews is keen on doing his program at 10pm instead. “This however is not a big issue and will be sorted out,” said one source.

Talat resigned from DawnNews last month and is due to join Express News from September 1.

Several journalists have changed jobs in recent weeks among them Dr Shahid Masood (from Express News to ARY), Mubashar Luqman (Dunya to ARY), Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain (ARY to Geo), Ferheea Idrees (Samaa to Waqt), Kamran Shahid (Express News to Dunya), Muhammad Malick (The News to Dunya) and Matiullah Jan (DawnNews to Waqt).
