NPC approves committee for reviewing voters list

ISLAMABAD - The newly-elected governing body of National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad has approved a scrutiny committee to review the voters list.

This was decided in a meeting presided over by President Shakeel Anjum on Friday. The committee is headed by senior journalist Saud Sehar with another veteran M. Ziauddin as its member. More individuals will be included on the committee.

In this connection, a five-member committee comprising Shakeel Anjum, Asif Bhatti, Naveed Akbar, Ibrahim Kumbhar and Farrah Naz. They can be contacted by the stakeholders wanting to have their representatives on the committee.

Addressing the meeting Shakeel Anjum said: "We are fully committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in the institution."

He said all issues would be resolved through consultations with the stakeholders.
