Join our WhatsApp channelISLAMABAD – Anchor Mubasher Lucman is on his way out from BOL News, nearing the end of his mandatory one-month notice period, insiders are now confirming.
Lucman, it is said began to face problems at the channel since the start of the pre-test transmission. Things did not work out the way he anticipated, a source tells JournalismPakistan.com.
His team that includes his producer and a few others are also likely to leave, although the management did make an attempt to persuade them to stay.
Signs that all was not well between Lucman and BOL surfaced last week when his program’s promo was abruptly stopped.
A source told JournalismPakistan.com at that time there were “some issues” which the management saw as “unprofessional according to BOL philosophy. There is a deadlock,” he had said.
Also, the 10.30pm slot originally allotted to him for his program Meri Jang was surprisingly given to Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
BOL is currently in its test transmission phase and looking to formally launch the channel before the year ends.
