ISLAMABAD: Lahore Press Club will hold its annual election on December 29 to elect office-bearers for 2015.

Arshad Ansari from Journalist Group and Najam Ali Khan represernting Progressive Panel will face each other for the coveted slot of president, he said.
There are around 2000 members of the club who will cast their votes.
Earlier on December 22, the club's election committee through a notification prohibited all members from indulging in negative campaign against any candidate on social media like Facebook and Twitter.
“A candidate or a voter will not be allowed to take part in the election process if he is found guilty of running negative campaign on social media,” the notification said.
Mian said that both the groups should comply with the code of conduct prepared by the election committee.
“Both the groups should run a positive campaign to win votes. Abusing each other on social media isn’t something to be supported,” he said.
