ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Thursday shifted Shoaib Ahmed Shaikh, Chief Executive Officer of BOL News and Axact along with four other officials to Islamabad for investigations.
Besides Shaikh, others brought to Islamabad through PK-308 flight include Viqas Atique, Zeeshan Anwar, Mohammad Sabir and Zeeshan Ahmed. The government has also suspended license of BOL News Television following a report published in the New York Times that accused Axact, parent company of BOL, of selling fake degrees to students across the globe.
A FIA official told JournalismPakistan.com that all the five accused will be produced Friday before a local court judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar to seek their remand for investigation.
Earlier, a sessions court in Karachi allowed the FIA Wednesday to shift the detained CEO of Axact and four other officials to Islamabad for investigations into the case.
