ISLAMABAD: Controversial anchor Mehr Bukhari is set to go on air at DawnNews Television with her program NewsEye on Monday.
An advertisement splashed in Dawn Sunday announced the program will be telecast Monday through Thursday at 8:05pm.
JournalismPakistan.com was the first to report on January 14 that she was joining DawnNews.
Mehr has been off television screen for several months after a leaked video of her program on Dunya TV she hosted last summer with Mubashar Luqman was leaked and went viral.
The video showed behind the scene conversation with their guest, property magnate Malik Riaz that revealed the interview was set-up.
Before her stint with Dunya TV, she worked with Samaa. Her husband Kashif Abbasi is also a talk show host on ARY Television.
