ISLAMABAD: The contractual employees of PTV World plan to file a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking regularization of their jobs.
A source tells JournalismPakistan.com that the higher management had assured the contractual employees several times that their salaries will be increased but never honored their promises.
"There has been no increase in salaries since January 2013," the source says.
Around 50 contractual employees are said to be contributing Rs3,000 each to pay for lawyer's fee to file their petition.
The PTV administration has given designations to its contractual employees which do not even exist in the service structure of the PTV Corporation.
The contractual employees get paid between Rs35,000 to 40,000 without basic benefits of annual leave and medical facility.
