KARACHI: Abb Takk Television reporter Atif Hussain was Tuesday thrashed by unidentified men while he was busy making footage of a graveyard for a news package.
Amin Yousuf, Secretary General Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), condemned the incident and demanded of the government to arrest the culprits at the earliest. He said PFUJ would stage a countrywide protest against Sindh government if it fails in arresting the culprits.
G M Jamili, President Karachi Union of Journalists, also condemned the incident and urged the government to take measures for protection and security of journalists.
He said he would contact Director General Rangers and request him to have the perpetrators traced and arrested.
