KARACHI - Senior sports journalist Rashid Ali Siddiqui, died in Karachi Friday of liver cancer.
Siddiqui was in journalism for almost three decades and worked for several national dailies. He began his career with PPI news agency. Among the newspapers he was associated with included The News, Daily Express, The Express Tribune, Jehan Pakistan and Daily Jinnah.
During his career he covered top international events among them the 2012 London Olympics and the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.
Siddiqui's funeral was attended by his journalist friends, colleagues and relatives. He was buried at the Airport Graveyard. He has left behind a wife, three sons and a daughter.
