ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), a charity and humanitarian organization, is planning to impart first aid training to journalists in Rawalpindi and Islamabad to make them helpful citizens.
While meeting a delegation of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ), Chairman of the society Dr Saeed Elahi said that his organization will soon start training workshops on first aid for journalists in twin cities.
“The journalists will be provided blood in any emergency on a discount rate …. and the first aid training will help journalists to effectively respond to any emergency,” he said.
Elahi said the society’s liaison with journalists will also help people in distress. “We’ve launched our first ambulance service for Islamabad and our blood center remains open round the clock. People can reach us any time by calling on 1030,” he said.
