ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Thursday protested in front of PEMRA offices against the closure of ARY News Television in some cities.
Reports said the protesting journalists made attempts to enter the PEMRA offices but were thwarted by the police.
PEMRA, the electronic media's regulatory authority, has yet to issue a notification of restoring the channel's transmission as directed by the court.
There are also reports of cable operators being pressured to keep ARY off.
