ISLAMABAD: A group of some 30 journalists staged a protest Thursday against Wednesday's terror attack on office of ARY News in Islamabad.
The protest was organized by Jago Panel that contested the recent National Press Club elections. Abdul Qayum Siddiqui and Matiullah Jan, the protest leaders, made speeches on the occasion and lamented the government had failed to provide security to news organizations and journalists.
The protesters drove in vehicles from the Press Club to the ARY office where they met fellow journalists and officials and expressed solidarity.
Gunmen had hurled grenades at the office of ARY News in Islamabad and fired several shots that left a staff member injured.
