RAWALPINDI: Journalists on Sunday staged a protest calling for arrest of all those involved in the killing of Haroon Ahmad, a non-linear editor at Express News Television.
Haroon was killed on Thursday at 10:15pm in a phone-snatching incident in Satellite Town as he headed home from work.
Newspaper reports said one of the three accused involved in the killing had been arrested.
The Crime and Court Reporters Association (CCRAR) and members of the National Press Club who staged the protest have given a 72-hour deadline for arrest of Haroon's murderers.
The protesters also walked from the Rawalpindi Press Club to Benazir Bhutto Road. They were addressed by CCRAR office-bearers including Matiullah Jan, Sultan Shah, Sadaqat Ali and Syed Shehryar.
