Reports said that Shahzad Iqbal and his brother were attacked by four unidentified gunmen who intercepted their bike and opened fire.
Shahzad sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on way to the hospital. His brother was injured. Police have started investigations.
District Police Officer (Mianwali) Mujahid Akbar said that Iqbal, 28, had an enmity with Bashir Ahmed and his brothers over a (woman) issue.
Shahzad is the fifth journalist to be killed in Pakistan this year.
