QUETTA: Jamshed Kharal, a local journalist was shot dead Thursday by unidentified gunmen in Bolan district, newspaper reports said.
He was on a bus heading to Punjab from Quetta when armed men intercepted it and kidnapped six passengers, later killing three of them.
Reports said Kharal worked for a newspaper in Quetta. He is the fifth journalist gunned down this year in the restive Balochistan province.
Earlier Rehmatullah Abid (Dunya TV), Abdul Haq Baloch (ARY TV), Abdul Qadir Hajizai (Wash TV) and Abdul Razak Gul (Express TV) were killed.
