ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University is planning to start short-term professional training courses for reporters, photographers and cameramen based in Rawalpindi and Islamabad .
The university's Vice Chancellor, Dr Shahid Siddiqui said this while talking to a nine-member delegation of journalists from National Press Club and Rawalpindi-Islamabad Union of Journalists. RIUJ President Ali Raza Alvi said the journalist community would help the university management to contact professional and senior journalists for training of budding reporters, photographers and cameramen.
Siddiqui assured the delegation the university would soon start refresher courses for journalists as this would help them hone their professional skills.
