Sana parts ways with Geo; joins Dunya

ISLAMABAD: Sana Bucha, host of program ‘Leiken’ has quit Geo TV following a fresh row with the channel’s management and has now joined Dunya News.

The popular anchor said in a tweet she had ‘left Geo coz of Geo, not for any other channel. Where I go next is step 2.”

However, it has now been confirmed she has switched to Dunya where she is likely to get a 10pm slot.

Sana first resigned from Geo in June over the appointment of the controversial Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain who returned to the channel from ARY and was appointed as the vice president.

She said at that time she quit “because Geo was itself going against what it taught me.” But somehow she was persuaded to stay on.

Fast forward, her latest resignation reportedly came, again because of the ‘good doctor’. She was said to be upset over the doctor being asked to host a special program on Malala Yousufzai, the child education activist, shot by the Taliban.
