ISLAMABAD—Azam Chaudhry, President of Lahore Press Club, found a bullet lying on his desk as he arrived at his work desk Saturday.
He said whosoever had done this cowardly act should instead have come face to face to attack him. "I have dedicated myself to protecting the rights of journalists," he said on Twitter.
Press freedom in Pakistan continues to deteriorate rapidly. The latest reports said that unidentified shooters gunned down M. Younis Nomi a Daily Express reporter in Shorkot. Lala Faheem, editor of the news website Sada-e-Balochistan was abducted in Karachi.
