ISLAMABAD: Senior journalists Azhar Mailk and Hassan Shahzad have taken up jobs at The News in Rawalpindi adding strength to the news desk.
Both previously worked for local daily Dateline Islamabad, abruptly shut down by publisher Mustansar Javed in April.
Azhar (picture) and Hassan, who have signed up as senior subs, come in at a crucial time for the newspaper that continues to run without a resident editor.
The two have years of experience working on the desks of newspapers including Dawn, The Nation and Daily Times.
