ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is seeking action against Saleem Safi, a prominent Geo News program host for “distorting facts and figures” about a suspended official of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department.
Daily Pakistan reported Monday the party had written to Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) demanding action.
PTI central media head Iftikhar Durrani said in the letter Safi misused the platform for targeting PTI provincial government and its leadership and leveled baseless allegations.
Safi who hosts the program ‘Jirga’ interviewed Azra Afridi, the woman who disrupted PTI chief Imran Khan’s press conference on August 3 in Islamabad.
