ISLAMABAD: About a hundred employees of Khabrain and Channel 5 TV have reportedly been sacked for demanding their salaries.
Reports say one of the staff members at Islamabad’s bureau office took the owner of Khabrain Group Imtinan Shahid by the scruff of his neck after being abused for demanding his pay. Staff-members quickly intervened to save the owner from being thrashed, insiders say.
Union leaders of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and the National Press Club Islamabad have given two days to the management to pay staff salaries.
They have threatened to lock up the channel’s offices if this is not done.

I don’t know if this happens to you but every now and then I receive a letter from a lieutenant of a former despot who has $250 million with him which he needs to park and he is willing to give me half. This is usually on messenger and once in a way on email and somehow passes the safety net of the junk mail docket.
