HUNZA - Hasnain Ramal, a social media activist has been detained by police in Hunza, The High Asia Herald reported.

The website said he was a prominent political and social activist had boldly highlighted public issues on social media.

He was arrested from Hunza, his native town, and detained under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATC) and Cyber Crime Act 2016.

A joint investigation team (JIT) was questioning him for his posts on social media. He was to be produced before a court Wednesday.
