ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Television (PTV), in the context of a recent incident during live transmission on PTV Sports, has taken Dr. Nauman Niaz, host of Game On Hai, and former pacer Shoaib Akhtar off the air until an inquiry committee completes its investigation.

"It has been decided that Dr Nauman Niaz and Shoaib Akhtar will be taken off air until the inquiry is completed," the official handle of PTV News said.

It further emphasized that neither of the two will participate in any PTV program until all the facts become clear.

However, Akhtar, in his tweet, termed the decision hilarious, stating that: "... I resigned in front of 220 million Pakistanis and billions across the world. Is PTV crazy or what? Who are they to off-air me?"
